Hello my name is Andrew Vilcan, and this is my webpage for ENGL 365. This is my first webpage that I have ever worked on. I was born and raised in New Iberia and commute to school everyday. I am a quite calm and rational person. I play beaucoup video games, mainly playstaion calltag: velcro09, and love to be out side. I am an Eagle Scout and involved with the teaching of the Youth group of St. Peter's Catholic Church.

    I currently attend The University of Louisiana at Lafayette and I am a math major, minoring in secondary education. This is my sophomore year and I am doing very well in school. I plan to graduate the spring of 2013. I also have two jobs. One of them is a work study for the Chemistry Department, consisted of setting up for labs, mail, filings, and other odd jobs. The second job I have is as a math tutor for The South Louisiana Community College. I work everyday except the weekend. These jobs are really fun because of the people I work with. Also every summer I am the head lifeguard for the New Iberia Recreation Department, also teaching swimming lessons.

    I love the outside so much, I guess that is why I loved being in the scouts until I was 18. For a while that was a huge part of my life, I learned the value needed to succeed and skills to perform in outdoor settings. I also shoot my bow a lot, have even shoot a few times in competition. Being outside is always fun, but I also love to play video games. Usually I am on pretty much every night and play for a little bit, but I could play for days if I could.

    My family is also a big part of my life. I still live in my parents home and share a room with my younger brother, I also have two younger sisters still both in school. My brother works at Win-Dixie Grocery and goes to school at SLCC. My mom works for the Iberia Parish School Board in the Special Resource Center and my father is going back to school to get his degree. I also have an amazing girlfriend named Lindsey Bertrand and she also goes to UL and is majoring in Elementary Education. As of right now my life consist of Lindsey, my friends, school, work, and video games.
